Admission Requirements

To gain admission to the College of Arts and Science, you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Grade 12-level mathematics
  • English language proficiency
  • A minimum average of 70% using five-mark formula for high school students; or a minimum average of 60% for post-secondary transfer students

Get a Head Start

Feeling ambitous? The College of Arts and Science offers several dual-credit courses for students who want to earn university and high school credit simultaneously. Talk with your school's guidance counsellor or register now through the Sask DLC.

The College of Arts and Science also recognizes credit for most Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses. 

Alternate Admission Pathways

If you are missing any of the requirements above, there may be an alternate admission pathway available for you.

If you are in progress of completing these requirements, you can be considered for conditional admission by submitting your most recent grades, as well as a class schedule, to show the above requirements will be met.

If you do not meet the regular requirements for admission and you are aged 21 or older, you have the opportunity to apply for special (mature) admission.

If you do not meet the regular admission requirements and you are aged 21 years or younger, you have the opportunity to be considered for the University of Saskatchewan Transition Entrance Program (USTEP).

Arts and Science Prerequisites

Prerequisites are specific courses that must be completed before a student can take other courses at the university level. This guide is not listing the required courses needed for admission into the College of Arts and Science, rather the suggest high school courses for students who are pursuing these specific programs.

These drop-ins are for prospective students. If you have received an offer of admission you should attend a Group Advising session.
