Research

landscape light nature painting photography social construction

Graham's paintings are realistic representations derived from experience, direct observation and his photographic documentation/research, and thematically depict nature and landscape in both untouched natural states and constructed park sites through an almost mathematical analysis of light and colour. His artistic work addresses three fundamental but diverse overlapping themes: the sensation of nature as subject matter in it’s own right, the social construction of nature and the aquatic world.
